Here goes nothing...

I have finally decided to create myself a website...and my very first blog post! To be frank it isn't anything glamorous, but it isn't supposed to be anyway. The primary reason I decided to create this site was so that I could use it for my future business promotion, and to create a "record" or portfolio of all the creative work I have been doing over the past few years and the years to come. So, here goes nothing...

Starting off 2018 With a Bang

The biggest endeavor of this new year is my plan to travel to Berlin, Germany next month!

I have two major passion in my life (and these two passion I believe were given to me by God for His glory, but I'll get to that in another post): (1) Make films, and (2) travel the world. This February I have the opportunity to carry out one of my biggest dreams to not only travel, but to make a film at the same time! I love learning about other cultures and seeing new places, and this will be my first time traveling to Europe which is something I have always wanted to do. I have seen quite a bit of Asia: India, Nepal, Japan, Thailand, and South Korea, but now is the time to experience Europe and what better place to start than at the very center of it all: Germany.

I'll be spending a little over two months overseas, leaving February 4, and returning on April 10. A long time it seems...but definitely a wonderful experience that I am sure I will never forget as long as I live. I already learned so much! I've taken the time to try to learn the language before I go; I'm now 45% fluent! (which is not great, but I don't care at least I'm trying). I've also learned quite a bit about transporting massive amounts of very expensive camera, lighting, and sound gear and to be sure, it isn't easy. So yes, on one side I am fulfilling my dream of traveling and making a film, but I am also getting to see what it really takes to do just that and to be honest it is a bit stressful at times. Yet, through it all I am learning to surrender what I can't control into God's hands and I trust that He is faithful.

What I'm doing now

Presently, I am helping a friend of mine, Bronsten Kossow, with his political campaign. He is running for County Council District 6 on the Big Island of Hawaii. I've have been offering him my video production services to make advertisements for his campaign. It all is turning out nicely. Here is the link to his website: https://www.bronstenkossow.com

At this point I think I will bring this post to an end, because I can't think of anything else to write and it is my first blog post. I don't feel that I should try to force myself to write anything if there isn't anything to write about, otherwise it would just be mindless rambling. And that doesn't help anybody.
